Здобувачі освіти ознайомляться з основами електричних систем вантажівок та читанням схем:

Основні компоненти:
Batteries (storage battery, lead-acid, series/parallel connection, terminals: positive/negative, posts/side terminals, capacity Ah, CCA – cold cranking amps, voltage 12V/24V).
Alternators (charging system, stator, rotor, rectifier diodes, voltage regulator, output control, belt-driven, produces AC → rectified to DC).
Starters (cranking motor, solenoid, pinion gear, drive mechanism, shift lever, direct drive/reduction gear).
Wiring & Components: harness, cables (battery cables, ground straps), fuses/breakers, relays, switches, grounds, connectors.

Читання wiring diagrams:
Symbols: battery (parallel lines), ground (triangle/chassis symbol), fuse (rectangle with wave), relay (coil + contacts), diode (arrow + bar), switch (open/closed line), resistor (zigzag), motor (circle + M), alternator (circle + A or wavy lines).
Legends: wire colors (B – black, R – red, Y – yellow, GN – green), abbreviations (IGN – ignition, BAT – battery, GND – ground), circuit numbers, connector pins.
How to trace: start from power source (battery +), follow path through fuses/relays/switches to load (starter, lights), note grounds.

Типові проблеми та DTC:
Low charging (P0562 – system voltage low, P0622 – alternator field control), no-start (P0615 – starter relay circuit), battery issues (U-codes network, B-codes body).
Charging circuit: battery → alternator → regulator → battery. Starting: battery → solenoid → starter motor → ground.

Здобувачі освіти набудуть практичних навичок через вправи та симуляції:

Matching: зіставлення символів на схемах (battery, alternator, starter solenoid, fuse, relay, ground) з назвами та функціями.
Читання схеми: надати просту схему charging/starting circuit → знайти шлях струму, назвати компоненти, пояснити роботу.
Role-play ситуацій (парами або з викладачем):
Звіт механіку: «The wiring diagram shows the alternator output goes through fuse F12 to the battery positive terminal. I measured 12.8V at the battery but only 13.2V at the alternator output – possible bad diode or regulator.»
